I read a quote years ago which has stayed with me. Embedded in fact.

Sometimes a person needs a story more than food to stay alive. That is why we put these stories in each other’s memories. This is how people care for themselves. ”  Barry Lopez, Crow and Weasel

I know for a fact that a story has the power to keep us alive. Stories have lifted me up and leveled me. Helped me make sense of the chaos and given me strength when I thought I had none.

That’s the beauty and magic of a story. That in essence is why I write. Why I share and why the Intrinsic Foundation became.

The hope is that what I share, and you then share, and what we co- create will glimmer like a magical force. Reaching out to those who are seeking, protection, nourishment and the love that a story can provide and then radiate.
