
Dance forms part of our existence, intricately woven into the fabric of every culture, and it truly captures the essence of life itself. It is primal my friends and beats like a drum within us.
It offers a beautiful expression of love, courtship, ceremony, spirituality, and storytelling, among countless others. This innate desire to move is a fundamental part of who we are.
Music and dance waltz hand in hand, inviting us to move freely and express our deepest selves. I genuinely believe in the transformative power of dance—it has the remarkable ability to heal and fill every part of our being with joy, and let’s not forget, it can simply be a great source of fun.
For me the movement of dance meant that my worries could not corner me. It allowed me to reconnect to my body, mind and spirit and alleviate the stress and anxiety I was experiencing.
Dancing for me was done at home, alone, while cooking or cleaning the house or sometimes just because. I know have a wonderful man in my life who joins me in dancing while we cook and do chores together around our home. Oh, how my world has changed!
It truly has the power to heal, and I can say that with certainty from what I experienced. At the time, I had no knowledge of Dance Therapy or whether it was even an option. However, I encourage you to explore such avenues if it resonates with you as part of your journey, my friends.
Today I dance with joy to a new rhythm, new moves and new energy ….Lets Dance!
