What Would you Give?

I am really excited to share this with you my friends, it really seems special to me. It is something I heard a little while ago and it altered my thinking and grabbed hold of my heart.

Ignited my spirit.

A golden thread offered.

I wish I could remember who or where it originated however at the time it was the words that stuck. Apologies for not referencing the origins.

The quote my friends…….

“Don’t ask what you want from your life, ask what your life would want from you”

Oh my goodness, what does that arise in your thoughts?

The words hit me hard. I had the “what do I want from my life” narrative implanted in me since school age, I guess.

How will you show up and represent your life? Will it be with integrity, and love and honor for the gift of being born to this earth deserves?

Now that I have heard this and thought on, the expectancy that your life owes you something is a rather arrogant concept and in truth quite restrictive.

Instead ask what does my life want from me. What will I give to it, how will I nurture, protect and love the minutes, days, months and years that I have.

What can I create, what beauty shall I share, how will I treat my existence within this time and space and what will my legacy and learnings be.

How will I treat my body and how will I treat my fellow humans and Mother Nature.

This my friends leads into our integrity and what makes us who we are… our foundation, our intrinsic foundation.

So now, to offer a contrast, “what do I want from my life”. It sure can seem selfish when expressed this way.

What do I want, what should I get, what should I be, me, me, me.

When we come from this place, from the me, the ego, we turn up differently. It seems an empty and entitled place.

Oh, my friends how powerful is the word, the energy, vibration and resonance it can provide and emanate. Contract or expand, this is your choice.

The empathic soul tends to give to others before themselves so if we see our lives as something that we give to how does that make you feel?

I know for me it fills my heart with so much joy, love, love, love, fun and possibility!

Please say the words, let it settle, breath, think and practice the feeling it provides your heart and soul.

I think innately we are here to give, nurture and love. Ask the question and see what shifts within you.

The thread is gold my friends – GOLD

I would love to hear what comes to you, please let me know.

With much love. xx
